JUSTIN DEIMEN
Group Managing Partner & Head, Aurora Capital
Justin leads Aurora’s development, production, and investments across genres and formats. He executive produced the 2019 movie STORM BOY, starring Oscar winner Geoffrey Rush and SUICIDE SQUAD actor Jai Courtney, and the 2019 Indochinese arthouse genre-buster THE LONG WALK. Previously, he worked for Hyde Park Imagenation, VH1, Fox Searchlight, The Village Voice and the International Film Festival Rotterdam before returning to Singapore to produce award-winning broadcast documentaries and feature films with a global perspective. He has since worked with UBS and Pictet & Cie to structure viable alternative asset funds for media projects for various platforms and philanthropic causes. He co-founded the Southeast Asian Audio-Visual Association (SAAVA), a non-profit network seeking to unify media producers, creative entreprenuers, and investors around ASEAN, and is a member of the EAVE network of European producers. He co-founded the Southeast Asian Film Financing (SAFF) Forum, the region’s biggest media financing platform that engages and educates stakeholders from the creative and financial sectors to develop modern modes of entertainment financing.

TERENCE KONG
Group Managing Partner & Head, Lifestyle Concepts
Terence brings extensive advisory experience and a sterling reputation from his background in financial services. He has held key roles in developing, implementing and supervising distribution strategies for financial products in Singapore and Southeast Asia. His producer credits include the feature film STANO, a collaboration with the iconic New York Yankees baseball franchise directed by Sundance winner Raymond de Felitta, and the Swiss-Indian arthouse feature film THE SONG OF SCORPIONS, starring Cesar nominee Golshifteh Farahani. An alumnus of the Anglo-Chinese School and Raffles Institution in Singapore, his business interests also include the restaurant “Momma Kong’s” (tabbed by Lonely Planet to have Singapore’s best chilli crab) and the bistro “3O1 Bar & Kitchen” (which he owns with CRAZY RICH ASIANS actor and incorrigible good guy Pierre Png). This veteran of the entertainment scene brings a distinctive edge to Aurora’s identity, influenced by his youth spent bartending in the gritty urban underbelly. In his free time, he enjoys going sailing with his kids and taking his jacked-up Landrover into Southeast Asian jungles.

JEREMY SIM

Jeremy enjoys disruptive convergences between content and technology. He is concurrently creative director at the social impact investor Mistletoe, which has an investment portfolio that includes medical drone delivery networks and self-driving cars. He most recently executive produced the 2019 feature film STANO, a collaboration with the New York Yankees directed by Sundance winner Raymond de Felitta; and is developing the brain computer interface prototype LIGHT.AI and the multidisciplinary augmented reality project DMC WORLDS. Previously, he was head of knowledge management at Asia’s largest financial intelligence firm, responsible for clients including the Abu Dhabi Commercial Bank and Shanghai Pudong Development Bank. Before that, he was lead project manager for Nordic Europe’s industrial innovation network, serving anchor institutions such as Innovation Norway and the Helsinki School of Economics. He received a 2007 Creative Talent Award from the Singapore government, and was a Thayer Scholar / Phi Beta Kappa at Purdue University, and a contributor to “Making Money, Making Meaning: Directions for the Arts and Cultural Industries in the Creative Age”, published by Cambridge Scholars’ Press.

Kathy Morgan has been involved in the international sales and distribution of motion pictures and television programs for more than three decades. In 1983, Morgan joined Hemdale Film Corporation as head of worldwide sales for its 186-title film library that included PLATOON, THE LAST EMPEROR, THE TERMINATOR and SALVADOR. In 1992, she founded Kathy Morgan International (KMI) specializing in the worldwide sales, distribution, marketing and financing of theatrical motion pictures. Kathy Morgan is the Executive Producer of THE DANISH GIRL starring Eddie Redmayne and Academy Award winner Alicia Vikander and directed by Tom Hooper. She was also the former Chairman of the Independent Film and Television Alliance.

Dr Thomas Choong is an investor and strategic advisor, predominantly in the technology space. He was an early investor of Brandtology, which was acquired and renamed iSentia prior to a successful IPO in 2014. Other companies he has advised include Golden Equator Capital, Thierry Apoteker Consulting, Elipva, Ohanae, Kidotech, ArrowCrest Technologies, and the Singapore Sports Hub. From 2000 to 2007, he managed several tech startups in Asia with investments from ST Telemedia and the Lippo Group. Thomas served on the board of M Dream Inworld, a HK listed company with a focus on online gaming for the Chinese market and also co-founded multiple award-winning Xi Yan, Southeast Asia’s first contemporary Chinese private dining restaurant.

Karen Tan
Managing Director – VP Bank
Karen is the managing director and regional head of wealth management for the Liechenstein-based VP Bank, which is noted for having one of the strongest capital ratios in the banking industry. Previously, she was with the French bank Credit Industrial et Commercial, and was the director of global futures at Swiss bank UBS. Named “Most Inspiring Woman” in Singapore in 2006, Karen is a longtime volunteer and donor to Club Rainbow, providing compassionate services to chronically ill children and their families. She is also a mentor and career coach, having trained more than 5,000 executives around the world, from North America to Europe to Asia.

Lim Ker Han
Executive Director – ESTETICA
Ker Han is a biotech entrepreneur and executive director of the heritage beauty brand ESTETICA, which sponsors the current 2018/19 season of Asia’s Next Top Model by FOX Networks Group. He is a pioneer in bringing deep innovation and cutting edge science into the beauty industry in Asia, largely through his long-running research and development collaborations with the Singapore government backed research institute – the Agency for Science, Technology and Research. A graduate of the National University of Singapore, he was previously with a financial payments startup which saw a successful exit via acquisition.
